NeuroHab is an innovative platform that brings together games and applications dedicated to evaluation and rehabilitation of various cognitive areas that are normally associated with pathologies such as Autism, Alzheimer, Dementia, among others. The platform was created at the Coimbra Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Translational Research - CIBIT - of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, with the support of european and national funds.
Numerous games and applications on one platform! NeuroHab aims to be a useful tool for patients, caregivers and therapists. Designed for day-to-day training, this platform gives you the opportunity to intervene, monitor evolution and focus on the greatest difficulties!
Starting and maintaining an appropriate conversation is one of the most important social skills in the insertion of a person in society. For most people, these skills are acquired by imitation, throughout our development. This does not happen in most people with Autism, and this application helps to address this deficit in the social area.
In this game, the player has to walk through a virtual city with the goal of finding a bus stop and take the bus to the location set at the beginning of the game. Once inside the bus you have to know in which stop you have to leave to complete the game successfully. Throughout the game you can consult a map if you experience some difficulty of orientation. Galvanic conductance is also used to identify situations of stress or greater anxiety.
Game consisting of a daily routine in which the player has to prepare a table for the meal. The task has a sequence to execute, ie the elements (towel, dishes, cutlery, etc.) have to be placed in the correct order to be able to finish the game successfully.
In this game is presented an image of Homer from the animated series The Simpsons and several images of objects around him. When the game begins, the puppet randomly looks at an image and the player has to click on it to move on to the next one until the game is completed.
EcoKitchen is a virtual kitchen designed to stimulate memory and work executive functions in a familiar and adaptive environment!
The Supermarket was designed for autonomy training. It allows stimulating higher cognitive functions, such as executive functions, but also training adaptive behaviors with a view to personal and social autonomy. In Autism these are very affected areas, being therefore one of the pathologies to which this application is more directed.
This is a game whose action takes place inside a building with several rooms and in which the player controls a drone through a gamepad command. The goal is to cross several rooms until you find a specific object that is indicated at the beginning of the game. As the player progresses in the game, there are avatars that indicate, through the look, which is the correct port to which the drone should be directed, in order to complete the game.
In this game the goal is to fill a balloon as much as possible without popping it. The player always presses the balloon filling button, it fills up a little more and has to manage the filling with the risk of balloon bursting.
This game consists in having the player reproduce several sequences of movements that are executed initially by an avatar. The game has several levels of complexity in terms of sequence of moves. The avatars also vary in physiognomy, with some more humanoids and others less complex and more geometric.
This game takes place in a virtual replica of the Pediatric Hospital laboratory and aims to encourage interpersonal contact. the player is asked to put himself in front of an avatar s a distance that feels comfortable. the aim is that the distance between the two will decrease with training.
